Aaron Burrows, MD
Born and raised just outside of Boston, Massachusetts, Dr. Burrows graduated from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 1999. He completed his medical internship and residency in New York City. Upon completion of his fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology in 2006, Dr. Burrows moved his family to Denver to take advantage of the outdoor activities available in Colorado. Dr. Burrows is an avid hiker, cyclist and skier but his true passion remains spending time with his friends and children. He is Board Certified in Gastroenterology and is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association. He has served as President of the Denver Medical Society since 2014.
Abdul Nadir, MD
Dr. Abdul Nadir completed his medical degree from Dow Medical College of Karachi Pakistan in 1990. He moved to the United States for further training and completed his Internal Medicine, Transplant Hepatology and Gastroenterology training at Beth Israel Medical Center New York, Integris Transplant Institute Oklahoma City and University of Missouri-Columbia respectively. Since completion of his training in 1997, he settled in Phoenix, Arizona, where he worked at Maricopa Medical Center for 15 years as Chief of Gastroenterology. Currently, he divides his time between Islamabad, Pakistan and the United States. Dr. Nadir’s clinical interests include Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Therapeutic Endoscopy. He is also interested in clinical research and teaching medical schools students and trainees in different stages of their career. Dr. Nadir is married with four children. He likes to exercise and go to the movies, and spend time with his family.
Muhammad Naeem, MD
Dr. Naeem is a board certified gastroenterologist, completing his fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. After 15 years as an employed physician, he decided to start his own practice, Advanced GI Associates of San Antonio, in 2017. Along the way, he joined with several other physicians to start a state-of-the-art ambulatory surgical center that he now co-owns.
Dr. Naeem treats patients with all types of GI issues. He believes that the GI tract is a mirror of overall health. Dr. Naeem has a special interest in Diagnostic and Therapeutic Endoscopy and ERCP, Motility Studies, and pH Bravo interpretation.
Gerard Tomasso, MD
Dr. Tomasso is a board certified gastroenterologist who has practiced in the Glenwood Springs community for over 38 years. He joins the Valley View team part time, as he moves toward retirement. “When I was 15, I worked in a hospital and realized I wanted to be a doctor. I enjoyed working with people and I was good in science. I had a great teacher during my residency who interested me in gastroenterology. Today, I enjoy being on a first-name basis with my patients, and I get good feedback from them.”
Paul Levy, MD
Dr. Levy is a board certified gastroenterologist from Clyde, NC and has been practicing gastroenterology for more than 30 years. He has expertise in many endoscopic procedures including Colonoscopy, upper endoscopy and other advanced procedures. He also has broad clinical experience in hepatology and chronic hepatitis treatments. His personal interest include hiking, biking, tennis, cooking and traveling.
Joseph Edelson, MD
Dr. Edelson received his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine from New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. Dr. Edelson then began his military career at Walter Reed Army Medical center in Washington DC where he was a resident and then fellow in Gastroenterology. Dr. Edelson continued to serve as an Army physician with an overseas assignment in Korea. Dr. Edelson is board certified by the National Board of Medical examiners, American Board of Internal Medicine and American Board of Internal Medicine Subspecialty Gastroenterology. He is also is a member of the American Gastroenterology Association.
