Osteoporosis and Fracture Prevention – Virtual Zoom Session
Presented by ValleyOrtho Fracture Prevention Team
Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at 6 p.m.
No one has time for a fracture, but if you have weak bones you are at higher risk for a broken bone. Osteoporosis and osteopenia are often called the “silent disease” because you cannot feel your bones getting weaker. You may not even know you have weak bones until you break one. One in two women over age 50 will experience an osteoporotic fracture, as will one in five men over 50. Yet, nearly 80 percent of older Americans who suffer bone breaks are not tested or treated for osteoporosis. In this 20-minute discussion, followed by open Q&A, the ValleyOrtho Fracture Prevention Team will discuss the best ways to keep your bones strong and reduce your risk of a fracture.
There is no cost to attend this class.
