The Practice Transition Accreditation further validates Valley View’s Nurse Residency Program, transitioning registered nurses (RNs) into new practice that meet rigorous, evidence-based standards for quality and excellence. Valley View is the first accredited American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) RN residency program in Colorado. Nurses in accredited transition programs promote the acquisition of knowledge, skills and professional behaviors necessary to deliver safe, high-quality care.
Valley View was recognized in the accreditation report for demonstrating several processes on how peer support is integrated into the program, and also for the use of incremental goals to promote the developmental needs of its nurses.
“The receipt of the ANCC accreditation for our Nurse Residency program exemplifies our commitment to our mission: to be the leader for excellence in personalized care and healing. We know that world-class healthcare demands world-class nurses,” Dr. Brian Murphy, Valley View CEO

“We are particularly proud to receive our accreditation with distinction. This further exemplifies our success in utilizing evidenced-based criteria to transition nurse graduates to new practice settings. As new graduates seek an organization to thrive in their career, we know that Valley View can offer an exceptional experience,” Dawn Sculco, Valley View CNO.
